I've been to Alamo Palace many times. I wanted to post this review to continue to support this business because when we walked in at 6pm, the entire restaurant only had 1 other table. There were 2 take outs but that was it. On this occasion, we had the sizzling rice soup, eggplant with beef, and honey walnut prawns. Again, maybe because I've been here so many times, but these 3 dishes are some of the best I've ever had. The quantity to value is also very good. We had plenty left over between the 2 of us for lunch the next day!

I cannot get enough of this restaurant! The food is amazing I definitely recommend the hot and sour soup and vegetable spring rolls! The service was speedy and accommodating to all the people in my party. I enjoyed the ambiance from the plates to traditional decor! Cute little hole in the wall.

Service was excellent and speedy and food was great. Honey Walnut Shrimp is absolute go-to. Goated Chinese spot

Yummy food, nice services an plenty of parking spaces. The environment is pretty quite. Enjoyable!

The food was very good. I went inside and dined for the food and it was prepared very nicely, and when the food came everything was really well. I ordered a chicken chow mein and honey walnut prawns and for appetizers I got their potstickers and those were also very good. The potstickers were crispy on the bottom and juicy on the inside, the honey walnut prawns are very crispy with lots of flavors they go good with some chow mein. The chicken chow mein is very flavorful and I definitely recommend it. If you go there try their potstickers for sure.

A hidden gem off the beaten path. I was just driving by on a Thursday night around 7 and thought to give it a try. Hot tea. mushu pork was first. Yummy. A good presentation and Mushu was perfect and the pancake wrap was fresh and soft. Next I tried shrimp egg fu young. Also excellent in a brown sauce. I want to come back and try my usual go to. Pork chow fun. Mongolian Beef and sweet and sour chicken.

I think the Alamo Palace Chinese Restaurant is maybe a 3.5 for it's food and service. I didn't want to rate it a 3 so I rounded up to 4 stars. The food and service is fine. I met a friend for lunch who only eats Chinese food so we have been trying different Chinese restaurants in Danville, Alamo and San Ramon. I had the string bean and beef lunch special that comes with sweet and sour soup, fried won ton skin, fried egg roll and rice that I upgraded to fried rice for an additional $.50; you can upgrade to chow mein for $1.50 in lieu of rice. My buddy got baby Bok Choy and beef with white rice. The string beans were cooked nicely and the beef was soft, the fried items were good and the fried rice was basically eggs and rice fried with garlic (which gave it a nice flavor). My buddy said his lunch special was fine. The lunch specials are around $12 for most plates and you get enough food to fill your belly without overeating. I did learn something important. It is a good idea to ask how the entree is cooked and not assume it is cooked the same everywhere. A gentleman came in and had ordered General Tso's Chicken which is normally fried. He looked at his order and told the Owner it was not correct because it was not fried. The Owner said it was General Tso's Chicken and they don't batter and deep fry the chicken. Free lesson for me and my buddy My food was good and for the price I will go back and try other dishes (double-checking any entrees that I assume are deep fried dishes). I forgot to take pictures of the menu with the prices. Support your local businesses.
